Anthony Joshua Released from Hospital in Nigeria Following Fatal Road Accident

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople stated on Wednesday evening. The fighter was involved in a car accident in the Lagos area on Monday, a tragic incident that took the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Under Observation for Minor Injuries

Joshua had remained in the hospital while recuperating from non-critical injuries, representatives had said on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on social media that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to leave and heal privately.

“Joshua and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two friends who passed away as they were being readied to be sent home,” the official remarked.

Honoring the Deceased

The victims of the crash were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. Omotoso added that the athlete was heartbroken and deeply emotional over the loss of his two trusted companions.”
